Hi, I'm Carlie! I'm a product designer combining my human factors education, technical fluency, business sense, and designer’s eye to create human-centered products.
"Carlie interned with us this summer. She is hardworking, self-motivated, and meticulous in her work. Carlie contributed to multiple projects and was always eager to learn more. She possesses a unique combination of UX skills, technical knowledge, and CAD expertise, which is rare."
— Priya Dalmia, UX Design Manager at SOLIDWORKS
My experiences include designing interfaces and conducting user research projects for Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS, leading an award-winning customer discovery project for the U.S. Department of Energy, and building a web app to teach AI at the Tufts Center for Engineering Education & Outreach.
I’m a Human Factors Engineering senior at Tufts University with a strong academic foundation in product design, user research methods, computer science, mechanical engineering, and entrepreneurship. I've honed my leadership skills as President of the Tufts Human Factors Engineering Society for two years.
I love to be outdoors. I enjoy biking around Boston and going on hikes. This photo was taken on a trip to the Tufts Mountain Club's cabin in New Hampshire.
I played guitar for a Tufts band called Honeymoon, and we recorded an original song. I love playing folk, jazz, and pop music on guitar.
I studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark this past spring where I designed and built a chair while learning about Danish design principles.
